Letters of Robert Meddock, Sr., Kenneth Fox and Dale Fox Written During Service in World War II

Robert Dodds Meddock, Sr. (1917-1966) was married at the time the war began. He had a wife and two children, Robert (Bobby) Dodds, Jr. and Marilyn Roberta, to support. The family lived in Morrow, Ohio. He worked at Crosley Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio. He worked on the SCR-284, a WWII era combination transmitter and receiving. He was reclassified 1-A in early 1945 due to his radio technician experience.).

His brothers-in-law, William Dale Fox (1924-1965) and Kenneth Bruce Fox (born in 1925 and still living in 2021) were also in the Navy. Kenneth left high school early at Morrow High School to enlist. He later received his diploma from Morrow High School. It is unknown if William Dale enlisted or was drafted.
