Swink, Floyd, U.S. Army
Floyd D. Swink was born on October 21, 1918, in Avon, NY. Floyd enlisted in the U.S. Army when he was 21 years old. He served as a private in the 157th field artillery from October 1940 to 1941 and again as a Corporal Field lineman from October 1942 until November 1945. He was honored with a Purple Heart and several other awards for his distinguished service. The WWII Victory, American Defense Service, American Campaign were some of the other awards he received.
