Dear Bro.
Just arrived on Str. Laurada from St. Michaels. left Circle on Aug 10th for Cape Nome Stampede, got in to late, was struck 8 months before news reached us. to much Power atty. biz. it will be knocked out. 8 days trip 1500 miles, so I concluded to come on out for Winter. Nome is fair, 13 days from St. Michael to here. 2174 mile, got a good shake up in Behring Sea 700 mile 5 days our Vessel was out 18 days. Will go back to Nome in Spring. Maybe up to Circle cant tell yet. Big strike in Ariz, 12 mile from W. Hills at Chloride. I've just wrote there & if favorable will go there otherwise. Globe or Jerome. Will take 1st str. to Sanf. Jim Campbell, Dave's Bro. was along down . he left for his port home this am. Met Doc. Cunningham & Jones on Yukon Riv. Connors on way out expect them in on next str. had through tickets but their boat did not connect. $25.00 Circle to St. M. & $60.00 to here 2nd cabin, am exceptionally well, etc, hope all are same, you will write me at once if you expect it to reach me to - International Hotel KerneySt, San Francisco.
