Gearhart, William L., 310th Supply Train

This is the military record of William Lynn Gearhart. He was born in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania on 12 November 1894 and was buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan on 23 June 1928. He served in the U.S. Army after reporting for initial training to Camp Custer, Michigan, which is about 6 miles west of Battle Creek. He was a private with Company F of the 310th Supply Train. He served overseas from 31 July 1918 to 11 April 1919. He was honorably discharged on 28 April 1919 because of the demobilization. His service number was 2018359. He arrived back in New York on 11 April 1919, most likely on the S.S. Rotterdam, which had departed from Brest, France on 2 April 1919. Submitted by Joseph F.
