His first traceable information is his early life in York County, Pennsylvania where he married and had four children. When his wife died, he then migrated to Montgomery County, Ohio, and subsequently remarried and had ten more children. Eventually he married a third time in Indiana and had one more child. He is buried at Cripes Cemetery in Wabash County, Indiana. Military records show he served briefly in the War of 1812. There are at least seventeen generations within these files and approximately two thousand individuals listed.
